Les de gledelige nyhetene om hva som skjer i Brasil!

São José do Rio Preto, August 6th, 2008.

It’s with great joy that I write this letter to my brothers and sisters in

Bogafjell.

We have experienced a very nice renewal here in our church. New faces are

drowing our church, also young faces, full of energy and excitement.

The highest happening so far is the youth camp we had in July, from 25

27

(150km away from Rio Preto) and a worship band from Aparecida do

Taboado Church (230km from Rio Preto, the newest church in this area)

helped us during that weekend. We were altogether 50 young people, 20

from Rio Preto.

We had very fun programs and impacting massages. On Friday we have

many games to get to know each other. On Saturday morning, there were

worship, testimonies and group conversation. In the afternoon, very cool

games and free time. For Saturday evening we prepared a very impacting

program, with worship, drama and word. We called the people to come and

accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. A meaningful group of young people came

forward and took the decision to walk in God’s way. Saturday night we atill

have some games and fun. On Sunday morning we had more testimonies

and group conversation, to close the subject of following Jesus. The Youth

camp was very successful. Good part of those who were at the camp is

joining our church now in all its programs: cell groups, services and youth

meeting.

We are so glad because the goal of the camp was reached: A youth has

started and our church experiences something new. Last Saturday we had

our first youth meeting with games, worship, word. There were 12 people

there.

Even before the youth camp new families came to join us in church. The

couples are Mila and Itamar, Leandro and Elaine, Silvia and Renato. It

means also 5 children too. Pray for each one of them.

I believe God has answered to our prayers and your prayers for in our

behalf. Our church is different. This is not about our work, it’s God’s work.

We are profoundly thankful to God and to all that has prayed for us.

Please, keep praying for us so that we manage to welcome and take good

care of those sheep that just got born in the flock of our community. May

them get strengthened and follow the guiding of the Good Shepherd.

May God be with all of you!
