São José do Rio Preto, May 8th 2008
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth so great is his love for those who fear him.” Psalm 103.11
God has touched our lives with his love. By his mercy he gives us strength through the pressions and joy, even before the difficulties. There are many challenges just ahead of us.
Soon we will constitute the council group and get our own statute, as an official Lutheran Church, even with few members.
Leaderships are raising up and need better training.
The whole functioning of cells ministry needs a good recycling here. B
ut we don’t let all these needs make us anxious, although they are urgent. We are working in all these issues and the Lord has given from His peace.
On April 27th we had a very special “church day” together with other two Missão Zero new communities, Aparecida do Taboado and Santa Fé do Sul. We got together on a wonderful “camp house” close to Santa Fé do Sul. 87 people were there, 27 of them from Rio Preto. This big meeting filled our heart with joy because of the exchange between the three communities and also because of the presence of new people from Rio Preto, some youth among them. A new family is participating and having discipleship. Maria (53), her daughters Daniela (28) and Silvia (24), and the two kids Pedro and Bruno. They have experienced God’s hands very profoundly, changing their habits, values and life style, turning to Kingdom of God. Pray for these family so that the purposes of God get fulfilled in their lives. I ask you to keep praying for us, our activities and our plans. Remember to pray about the Youth Camp we are preparing for July 25th to 27th.
We expect a good group of young people having a decision for Christ through this special meeting. Personally I would like to say that God has filled my heard with his joy and compassion to make his work.
